It’s a joke that Sheriff Janney said that he is going to retire in 2014 as sheriff. Now not only will he be getting a check from the county, but he will also be getting that tax free check from the state because he couldn’t lift a stretcher with a heavy woman on it. Now he has ” serious ” back problems that only allow him to hit the gym 5 days a week and not seven. I wish the state would look into his disability claim that got him that free check each month. come on people and wake up and see what he really is.

well even If its 101,000 that still does not equate too 770,00+ so ok 70,000 is reasonable

Sheriff should be paid by Population like all Sheriff's. Baltimore County has 770,000+ in population. So what is being paid is reasonable. Cecil County pop. around 80,000. [Editor's Note: The population of Cecil County was tallied at over 101,000 in the 2010 census.]
