Ms. Broomell, the bible says in Matt: 6:6 When thou prayest, enter into they closet and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy father which is in secret.

You don’t need an audience to pray; do so before you go to the meeting, or if this is not just another attempt to get attention, set up a prayer group to get together with those who want to pray and do so before the meeting.

Councilwoman Broomell has spent her entire time in office attacking anyone who opposes her agenda and carrying out her own vendettas as well as those of Delegate Smigiel and Senator Pipkin. I am cynical regarding her sudden religiosity. She could have prayed privately at meetings or asked for a “moment of silence” or “private reflection” in the past. I believe that she is merely pandering for votes from true believers.

She suggests following Carroll County’s lead while knowing that they have been sued. This same belligerent mentality regarding the “Rose’s Diner” property and Stewart Properties rezoning matters resulted in the county being sued so that she could curry favor with neighbors of those projects. She apparently cares only about her own short-term political benefit while sending the legal bill to the taxpayers.

I wonder why Broomell didn’t propose prayer when she led the Three Amigo faction? I guess that she felt she didn’t need prayer because she had three automatic votes.
