The Commissioners have already spent well over $60K on dogs and cats--glad to know that's priority over educating our youth and fostering economic development. Perhaps if CCPS would offer "animal control and rescue" as a subject area, Broomell would jump on-board. Ah, no chance because we know she steadfastly opposes ANY measure to educate and train our future workforce.

It seems to me that Commissioners Broomell and Mullin have already decided on NO to the purchase. Proposing ridiculous, unworkable alternatives is insulting to the taxpayers. Page A2 of today's Cecil Whig shows an overhead shot of the property. Impressive campus. Dunn's absence indicates that Delegate Smigiel and Senator Pipkin might be in support of the CCPS proposal. Maybe they could use their influence in Annapolis to secure funding. Earth to Broomell: The mandate in the last election was "no more Broomell". Supporting the Basell option might help in future political endeavors.
