Rick, I'd like to agree with you, but I think it's too late for Mullin. I want to have a commissioner who can stand up for himself, rather than one who cowers to Broomell and is forced to lead only because he is up for re-election. Mullin has just nine weeks left before the primaries and in my eyes, it's a little too late for him to prove that he can change.

Also, it appears many times that Mullin takes his marching orders from the Smipkins and not from the voters, so it is probable that their voting block money will be relied upon for his re-election [campaign] rather than his ability to become a leader.

Cecil County is a laughing stock because of the dysfunctional Three Amigo voting block. Mullin and Dunn are loyal puppies. Mullin is up for election. Hold his feet to the fire and he might just stand up to Broomell.

Broomell's approach to county management is like a giant wrecking ball. If she perceives a problem, instead of studying/analyzing the issue to (a)determine if a problem really does exist and (b)fix the problem in a logical way that addresses the issue, she rushes to action quickly and destroys everything in her path. Unfortuately, for those directly in her path and for the citizens who have to pick up the pieces and try to reconstruct what she has destroyed, it takes a lot more time and money to clean up her mess than it took for her to make it.
