BULLETIN: Nelson Bolender, Cecil County Political and Schools Icon, Has Died

BULLETIN: Our heart is broken. Nelson Bolender, the former President of the Cecil County Commissioners, former Elkton High principal, and all around leader and gentleman of Cecil County, has died.

We are saddened and stunned that Cecil County has lost one of the most important leaders in recent county history. He was totally honest, loaded with integrity, and the “dad” of so many Elkton High students over the years. We will post an appropriate “appreciation” of Nelson Bolender’s legacy for Cecil County when we recover from our initial shock at his loss.

Nelson will certainly be missed by so many in Cecil County. His hours and years of service are greatly appreciated and certainly will be missed. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and close friends. He brought integrity, a sense of community and a love of Cecil County and its people to everything he touched.
